Fraudsters are sending fake text message claiming to represent local area banks, including BAC Community Bank. Text alerts include a telephone number and instructions for recipients to call. This number is operated by fraudsters and is not associated in any way with BAC Community Bank.

Fraudulent Telephone Calls
Fraudsters are placing telephone calls claiming to represent local area banks, including BAC Community Bank. Callers claim to be from the bank's fraud department and ask for a 16-digit account number, and may also ask for social security numbers and other confidential information. These calls are being made by fraudsters and are not associated in any way with BAC Community Bank.

What You Should Do

How Can I Tell Whether a Phone Call is Legitimate?
We will never call, text or email to ask for your Debit Card information, account number or confidential information. We only request confidential information to verify your identity when you contact us. If you receive a suspicious call claiming be from BAC Community Bank, hang up and call us at 1-877-226-5820 or (209) 473-6800.

Remember: To stay safe, never click on links or call any numbers contained within a text message, email or anything else sent to you, regardless of where the message claims to originate. Instead, look up the organization’s details independently and contact it to verify the message.
